While DC has made it clear that there won't be any crossover between their TV properties and the new movies, it seems like Marvel will be taking an opposite approach with their upcoming Netflix shows.

In an interview with Empire Magazine (via Comic Book Movie), Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos said that the Marvel properties like Daredevil, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones could end up in the movies as well as in the Netflix shows.

"It has definitely been talked about," Sarandos said.

As for the structure, Sarandos said that the TV universe will be similar to The Avengers when it comes to assembling the team.

"It was really based on the theatrical model of The Avengers," Sarandos said.

"Could you take another group of characters, The Defenders, and go about it the same way? Normally they do the big movie and then eventually they get to the group origin story. Having 13 hours to tell each of these stories, you can go right to the origin story and the action at the same time."

Sarandos also added that the new Netflix shows will not be afraid to go darker than some of the other Marvel properties, namely their other TV show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"The series will not be afraid to go darker than the film did. What we love about this particular set of heroes is that they're a little more down to Earth," Sarandos said.

"Costume wise and also in that these are gritty crime stories, more in the streets than in the clouds."

Daredevil is set to be the first show done with Charlie Cox attached to play the hero and Vincent D'Onofrio set to play Kingpin with Rosario Dawson in a supporting role.
