Marvel is quickly expanding its live action television offerings, and Agent Coulson may find himself bouncing between series.

Grant Ward's Feelings For Skye 'Genuine' On 'Agents Of SHIELD'? Brett Dalton Explains SkyeWard & Redemption

The beloved character is currently heading up ABC's Agents of SHIELD (see video below), but Coulson (Clark Gregg) has been known to move throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Considering Agents of SHIELD and the studio's upcoming series Agent Carter, Daredevil, and Iron Fist all exist within the MCU, it is entirely possible that the new Director of SHIELD could make guest appearances in any of those storylines.

"Agent Carter takes place in the 40's. That said, I know Marvel will find some way to connect our shows but I don't know how," Gregg told The Wrap (via Yahoo Movies). "She's a terrific actress so I'm praying for a time travel episode but I doubt that'll happen, That's been one of the fun things about this, to have Agent Coulson rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D., it'll be interesting to see how much that'll involve him recruiting and crossing over to those shows."

In addition, there is always a chance that Coulson could pop up in next year's The Avengers: Age of Ultron. While Gregg recently claimed that he is not involved as of yet - and considering that his last foray with the Avengers left him rather dead - fans will have to wait until May1, 2015 to find out for sure.

Agents of SHIELD will return to ABC this fall. Agent Carter will air on ABC starting this January, and Daredevil and Iron Fist are headed to Netflix.
