His character was paralyzed by his fears in the show's freshman season, but Terry Crews is assuring fans that Sergeant Terry Jeffords will be at his crime-fighting best in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sophomore season.
In an interview with the New York Post, where he talked about pulling double-duty between the hit FOX show and his new gig hosting Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on ABC, he revealed that his character is going to be back in the thick of things.
"Last season he was pretty much out of commission because of his fears, but he was cleared for duty toward the end of the season and 'The Ebony Falcon' is back," Crews said. "He got his gun back...and this year there will be a lot more of him doing this thing. The different combinations of us all working together creates a new dynamic."
Crews also talked about the guest stars who are coming on the show this season, talking about how working with them has also been extremely fun for the cast.
"We've had Eva Longoria and Terrell Owens and Patton Oswalt in as guest stars...and, as a cast, we've clicked so quickly. Every cast member could have their own show," he said.
Longoria also talked about her appearance on the show recently, teasing that there could be some "hot office stuff" happening between herself and another character.
"Flirtation is tame," she laughed while talking with Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Access Hollywood September 2.. "There's hot office stuff happening. iCloud material!"
Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 2 premieres Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8:30 p.m. on FOX.
