It seems like the Russo brothers may have slipped in a big Marvel cameo into the last Captain America movie, which could mean more appearances in other Marvel movies.

'Captain America 3' Plot Could Mean Interesting Marvel Cameos

Speaking with ComingSoon last week, the directors talked about one small moment that viewers may have missed that actually featured a possible Marvel character in The Punisher.

According to the site, the Russos offered another tongue-in-cheek surprise, revealing a hidden vigilante hero of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. When Nick Fury is being attacked in the streets, he gets the moment he needs to escape when a yellow Penske truck slams into his attackers.

'Captain America 3' Directors Promise Part Of Movie Will 'Alter The Marvel Universe As A Whole'

Later, when Agent Sitwell is thrown into traffic, guess what hits him? Not just a Penske truck, but the Russos reveal, the very same Penske truck.

"The man who drives that truck," Joe deadpans, joking that the driver is a candidate for a future Marvel One-Shot, "Is very highly trained. He thinks on his own terms. He's got a plan and a very specific skill set."

While Joe never names the character, it seems like it could be The Punisher just based on the description. While it doesn't seem like Marvel has any plans to make a new Punisher movie (the originals had Thomas Jane in the role), they could always bring the character back for a One-Shot and gauge fans interest in seeing the character on the big screen.

After that, who knows, the Punisher could become an ally of Captain America and his new team of heroes.

Captain America 3 is set to open in theaters on May 6, 2016.
