Former Teen Mom star and self-proclaimed entrepreneur Farrah Abraham received a lot of backlash from critics after revealing that she's homeschooling her five-year-old daughter Sophia.

While it's true Sophia is being homeschooled, it seems that Abraham is not the one who's doing the teaching.

"They have a tutor that comes in," explained Abraham in an interview with The Hollywood Gossip on Thursday. "I'm just supportive and a good parent. I think that's what makes a difference in where she's at and how excelled she is."

Abraham, who's given some controversial parenting tips in the past, insists that she's proud of her daughter. "It's pretty major that she started kindergarten in general," declared Abraham. "It's her year.

"She's doing homeschooling, and I'm proud of that," continued the reality star. "Being a mother and seeing her at this age, I remember this age, so it's very dear to me and very special."

While Sophia spends her days with the tutor, Abraham has been going through her own version of homeschooling. "Right now I have to finish my Bachelor's, which is in finance, and I'm kind of overwhelmed," revealed the star in discussing her online courses.

Abraham is earning her degree in preparation for starting her own restaurant, which is set to open in Austin, Texas in October.

In addition to her culinary venture, the star already has her own line of sex toys and has penned a trilogy of erotic novels. At the moment she is stripping at the Palazio Gentlemen's Club in Austin for "research" purposes, claiming the work is in perpetrating for upcoming film and book projects.

Abraham recently signed a six-figure deal with the club, agreeing to perform as a "celebrity feature" through December.
