Things Get 'More Outrageous' On The Set Of 'Penny Dreadful'

The makeup department has been hard at work prepping in Ireland over the last month and on Monday key prosthetic makeup artist Sarita Allison announced the return of Frankenstein's creature's to the set.

New Character To Make 'Penny Dreadful' Debut In Season Premiere

It looks like Kinnear, who received praise for his performance in Season 1, might just be working with some new performers, as director James Hawes announced "more new cast" would be on set that same day.

Cast and crew are hard at work filming the season premiere which, like all the episodes, was penned by series creator John Logan. The new episodes are designed to bring the characters out of London into a much larger scale of supernatural disaster, though the drama will remain rooted in the iconic Victorian city. The legendary Patti LuPone has come aboard for a new mysterious character, while newcomer Sarah Green has stepped in as the daughter of this season's "villain" Madame Kali (Helen McCrory).

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second, longer season in 2015.
