After most media outlets covered the season 6 premiere, which aired on September 21, of The Good Wife, one predicted a pretty grim fate for Cary (Matt Czuchry) who is now behind bars.

Governor Florrick's Flirtatious Intern To Return In Season 6

In last night's episode, The Line, Cary was arrested because the firm represented drug lynchpin Lemond Bishop (Mike Colter). Although, with Bishop's assistance, Alicia (Julianna Margulies) managed to rake up the exorbitant bail set for Cary's release, the New York Times suggests that the worst is yet to come. According to the The Times, Lemond will go to extreme lengths to cover his tracks, which means he might go after Cary.

The gray lady speculated that Bishop might just kill Cary to put his troubles to rest. But The Times' hyperventilation doesn't seem credible, as that would make for a preposterous twist and rather gimmicky considering the one of the show's leading men, Will Gardner (Josh Charles) was killed off in season 5.

Gloria Steinam To Guest Star In Season 6

Also, the synopsis of the upcoming episode, titled Trust Issues, doesn't seem to hint at any such dramatic manouver on Bishop's part. The next episode will be focussing on new cast member Taye Diggs's character.

Diggs will be quite at home as he has already been part of a legal drama (Private Practice). An E! Online report revealed other related details. He will play Dean Levine-Wilkins, who has been described as a "meticulous" and "talented" equity partner at Lockhart/Gardner. Wilkins will actually movie with Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) to Florrick/Agos.

Season 6 of The Good Wife premiered on CBS on September 21.

The next episode will air on Sept. 28.
