The miracle drug appears to be working, and soon enough John Black (Drake Hogestyn) could be awake and changing the way things are on Days of Our Lives once again.

Kristen Learns Theresa's Secret

John began opening his eyes and making moves that suggest he is once again awake, finally out of the coma that could have killed him after he was struck in the back of the head with a fireplace poker by Theresa (Jen Lilley). And now, the news he is waking up will shake his attacker to her very core.

After she struck John with the poker to prevent him from destroying her quickie marriage to Brady (Eric Martsolff), she re-arranged the scene to make it look as if Brady had actually hurt his father while in a drunken stupor. Since that night she has managed to mostly keep her secret safe, though Kristen (Eileen Davidson) realized the truth after she informed Theresa of the drug. Now that the drug has worked, Theresa will need to find some way to ensure that John never remembers how he ended up in his condition, because it will not only ruin Theresa's relationship with Brady, but it could put her behind bard as well.

Despite finding the drug, Kristen isn't entirely out of the woods yet when it comes to facing the consequences of her own crimes, which included drugging and raping Eric (Greg Vaughan), and destroying his life as a priest. In exchange for the drug to save John, she got him to promise he would no longer testify against her before the grand jury, which would essentially grant her freedom.

Now though, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) will encourage her former fiancé to go back on his word, to ensure that helping John doesn't allow a guilty woman to go free-and Eric will struggle with his ultimate decision on what to do.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
