The FBI conspiracy case is not a storyline that will be dragged on through the 10th season of Fox's Bones, according to one of the show's executive producers.

Booth (David Boreanaz) was arrested in the Season 9 finale of Bones after shooting three Delta Force members amid the FBI-Ghost Killer conspiracy. Having spent several months in jail, the whole ordeal will definitely affect Booth, though the storyline itself will not be dragged on throughout the season.

Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan spoke with TVGuide.com recently, answering a fan question about how long the case would be dragged out in the new season. Nathan said that the storyline will mostly be wrapped up by Episode 2, though not entirely.

"That's not something he can get rid of in one episode," Nathan explained. "He has to learn how to trust the organization he devoted his life to again."

Part of rebuilding that tarnished relationship with the FBI will be in the introduction of his newest co-worker, Junior Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd).

"He's somebody [Booth] has to learn how to work with and somebody he has to learn how to trust. The trust is the issue he will be wrestling with for a little bit."

Boyd was previously cast as James Aubrey, the new FBI protege who is described as very confident.

Bones Season 10 is set to premiere Thursday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
