The co-creators and show runners on ABC's Once Upon a Time recently talked about the theme of Season 4 and the inclusion of the world of Frozen.

With the introduction of Frozen sisters Elsa (Georgina Haig) and Anna (Elizabeth Lail) imminent, OUAT co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz spoke with TVLine about how their bond inspires the theme of the fourth season.

"'Never give up on the people you love,'" Kitsis said, when asked about the theme of the season. "To us, that was the main inspiration about Anna. We loved that she never gave up on Elsa, even though Elsa was willing to go off and live alone and let it go. Anna was like, 'No, you're my sister and I love you no matter what.'"

Kitsis and Horowitz said that Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) would have a relationship with one of the Frozen characters in the new season.

"I would say Prince Charming has an unexpected relationship [with a Frozen character]," Kitsis teased.

Much like last season, Season 4 will be split up half and half. Just like Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) and Neverland were the focus of the first half of Season 3 and the Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader) the second half, the world of Frozen will only be featured in the first half of Season 4.

"Like last year, the first half will be Frozen and the second half will be revealed in the winter finale," Kitsis said.

Once Upon a Time Season 4 is set to debut Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
