It looks as though Gwen Stefani is enjoying working with her fellow The Voice co-star Pharrell Williams so much, that she's enlisted him to help with her latest solo album. According to a new report, the "Happy" hitmaker is helping Stefani put the finishing touches on her latest studio offering, which will be released this December.

Gwen Stefani To Replace Christina Aguilera

Billboard.com reports on Tuesday that Stefani is currently in Miami recording new tracks with Williams. This will be Stefani's first solo work in almost eight years, following the hugely successful The Sweet Escape album back in 2006.

The site also says that the platinum blonde beauty is also deciding on which track she will be debuting during a special performance on The Voice later in the season.

Usher Wants New Coaches To "Follow His Lead" On The Voice

Meanwhile, there were reports earlier this month that indicated former The Voice coach Christina Aguilera is supposedly feeling threatened that Stefani might permanently take her place on the hit reality competition show.

According to OK! Magazine on September 12, Aguilera is having a hard time relaxing at home with her newborn daughter Summer Rain because she's fearful that she may no longer have a job on the show once her maternity leave is up.

A source close to the chart topper says, "Christina is extremely threatened by Gwen Stefani. She knows that if the ratings are higher on Gwen's season than they were on hers, the producers may have no choice but to ask Gwen to stay on."

What's more, Aguliera is also worried that yet another singer might replace her on the show, too.

The insider added, "Christina's in a world of paranoia right now. She's also worried about Taylor Swift coming on as an advisor. She's ready to fight for her spot."
