Phaedra Parks made legal arrangements to divorce Apollo Nida, and unfortunately, fans who watched the last two seasons of their hit Bravo show are not surprised by the news.

Watcht the Explosive New Trailer for the New Season of Real Housewives of Atlanta!

Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida's marriage has been on the rocks since she found out about his shady secret text messages to fellow "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, Kenya Moore. Then, things got much worse when Nida, who already served 6 years pre-marriage, was given a new 8-year-sentence for bank fraud and identity theft.

Yes, things were bad before-- it was obvious when Apollo left Phaedra on the steps of their suite to go party with the rest of the cast-- but Nida's return to jail seemed to be the last straw. Now, Phaedra has hired a legal team to move forward with their inevitable divorce.

According to E! Online, the 40-year-old reality star "has retained an attorney with the intent of amicably ending her marriage." A rep from her camp, Steve Honig, released the news earlier this morning (Oct. 10).

Is this Porsha Stewart's New Man?

In July, Apollo appeared on the STFU! radio show and revealed that even he knew that their marriage would not make it through his new jail time. When host Rodney Perry asked if his relationship would make it, he responded, "I doubt it, my wife didn't even f---kin' show up to my sentencing so I'm still salty about that."

Together, the once madly in love couple share two young sons named Dylan (Mr. President) and Ayden, their first born.

Well wishes to the family during this trying time. For now, Phaedra is keeping busy and promoting her new book on a tour across the U.S.

The new season of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" returns to Bravo on Nov. 9 at 8/7c.
