Apple jumped the gun on Wednesday, accidentally releasing the photos and specs for the new iPad Mini 3 and the iPad Air 2 ahead of Thursday's unveiling.

The products popped up on an iBooks page for the iOS 8 user guide, according to The Huffington Post, and the new photos (see here) confirmed quite a few of the rumors regarding Apple's next generation of tablets.

Photos from 9 to 5 Mac show that both devices will come equipped with a Touch ID sensor in the Home button, but otherwise the iPad's outward appearance will remain the same as its predecessors.

As per usual, the camera will get an update, but only on the iPad Air 2. Unlike the Mini, the Air 2 camera will include Burst Mode. First debuted on the iPhone 5s, the rapid fire shooting option took a little longer to reach the tablet world, but it will definitely make an appearance.
