Marvel is moving forward and that could include a host of new heroes to be joining the universe, but will fans be seeing a long awaited one popping up to help the Avengers out during their second movie?

Could 'The Equalizer' Be Marvel's Black Panther?

Cinema Blend dug into the Avengers 2 footage on Monday and deciphered that a Black Panther cameo could happen during the movie in order to set up a standalone for the hero.

According to the site, there was a scene in the Avengers 2 footage of Tony Stark standing in a wasteland with his teammates lying defeated. Next to Cap is his broken shield. It's likely that during the preceding fight, Ultron will punch Cap's shield dead center, destroying it. If having James Spader voice that megalomaniacal robot didn't scare you, then breaking the Star-Spangled Avenger's shield will surely instill fear.

Stan Lee Announces A Solo Movie For A Long-Rumored Marvel Character

While Cap's shield has been broken numerous times in the comics, it seems like the solution that he will have in the movies is to go to the South African made-up country of Wakanda to seek the help of its leader, T'Challa, who has a supply of vibranium.

The site adds that the cameo of T'Challa, who is also known as the Black Panther, could be an extended version of Hawkeye's cameo in Thor when the hero was seen trying to take down the God of Thunder when he invaded a S.H.I.E.L.D. tent.

This would allow Marvel to keep with their new "no origin story" policy and allow audiences to meet Black Panther before giving him his own solo film. It also would link the hero to the Avengers, which could become an alliance in the future.
