As many fans await the highly anticipated return of USA's Chrisley Knows Best, a Salt Late City, Utah reporter has called out the family, specifically patriarch Todd Chrisley, for being fake.

While Todd is known for trying to catch his children in any scams they might be plotting against him as well as stopping them from indulging in activities such as sex and drugs, Scott D. Pierce believes he is just using his family's drama for fame.

He wrote in The Salt Late Tribune Saturday, 'Todd Chrisley is clearly exploiting his minor children (including Savannah, 16, and Grayson, 8) and infant granddaughter for ratings."

Pierce pointed out that while Todd has embraced the iron fist style of parenting, his children still have shocking freedoms, such as the way they communicate with him and their mother Julie Chrisley. He added that while Todd tries to stop his children from engaging in premarital sex, both of his wives were expecting on their wedding days.

"The Chrisley children, including young Grayson and just-turned-18 Chase, speak incredibly disrespectfully to both their father and their mother, Julie. Todd is constantly moralizing to his children despite the fact that both his first wife and Julie were pregnant when he married them."

Pierce went on to point out the Chrisley family's financial woes as they enjoy living in a huge mansion in Atlanta as well as spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on clothes alone.

"...but he's $45 million in debt," Pierce wrote.

The second season of Chrisley Knows Best premieres Tuesday at 10/9c on USA.
