Makeup designer and prosthetic makeup artist Sarita Allison has steadily kept fans up-to-date on Twitter about all the prosthetic work being done for the new season and on Tuesday Allison shared yet another clue as to what the series has in store.

The "pointy ears" could be for a variety of creatures, from Ethan Chandler's (Josh Hartnett) werewolf form to the vampyric beings that haunt the night. On Oct. 1, Allison assured followers that some of the new makeup work will be pretty "disturbing" for the second season's premiere.

For fans who can't wait and are looking to relive Penny Dreadful's first season, Showtime will be airing the first two episodes of the Victorian supernatural drama on Halloween this week. According to Variety on Monday, the episodes will air back-to back on Showtime Friday at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
