Penny Dreadful's second season on Showtime is going to be so frightening, cast and crew claim production is giving them nightmares.

More 'Turns And Twists' For 'Penny Dreadful' Season 2

On Friday producer Christopher King revealed that they'd returned to Dublin to film block two scenes of the series and that filming has taken a particularly brutal toll.

'Penny Dreadful' Will 'Get Back To Nature' This Season

Production for the first section of filming ended on Oct. 20, though director James Hawes has yet to sit down in the editing room to go over the footage. Picking up where Hawes left off is Damon Thomas, who announced on Oct. 15 that he'd already had a visit to the set and felt very welcomed by the cast and crew.

Like King, Hawes had been consistent in posting new photos from the set, giving viewers a glimpse into the world of the Victorian supernatural drama. While Thomas has only just begun, he seems to utilize social media more sparingly, which could result in some of very impatient fans.

With new monsters, new scares, and new locations John Logan's series is planning to reach all new heights next year.

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second season in 2015.
