The Librarians will throw four seemingly average Joes into the fast-paced and dangerous world of the Metropolitan Library, which means the unsuspecting geniuses will spend their days tracking down everything from King Arthurs's crown to the Crystal Skull.

TNT's new series will pickup where the film trilogy left off, with an overwhelmed Flynn Carson (Noah Wyle) in need of a little help fulfilling his duties as Head Librarian. Unfortunately for Jake Stone (Christian Kane), Ezekiel Jones (John Kim), Cassandra (Lindy Booth), and Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn), they will unwillingly get shanghaied into assisting him.

"When the show starts, we're actually not Librarians - we're the next in line," Kane explained, according to The Daily Quirk. "Without giving too much away, we're all kind of forced into this thing so we really don't know what's going on, and that's the beauty of it. We all have sort of special abilities, but they are not magic abilities."
