The Librarians' Flynn Carson won't appear in every episode of TNT's new series, but Noah Wyle's presence will definitely be felt as the freshman season moves forward.

The title character of TNT's trilogy of Librarian movies, Flynn Carson will continue tracking down the world's most dangerous magical artifacts, but this time his four new hires will take center stage.

Set to appear in, at the very least, the two-hour series premiere and the season finale, Wyle took the reigns on set and led actors Christian Kane, John Kim, Lindy Booth, and Rebecca Romijn.

"Noah walked in having played this character for years, it gave us somewhere to go," Booth told Zap2It  while Kane compared Wyle to Star Trek's captains. "We really looked at him as our Shatner, our Patrick Stewart. He's at the helm of this thing. He really knows what he's doing."
