Recent reports have suggested that Hotch (Thomas Gibson) will be breaking up with Beth (Bellamy Young) and the latest update from Gibson hinted at the fact that David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) would be stepping in to help fix him up with someone else.

Rossi is known to be very close to Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewiit) on the team, and Hewitt herself has stated that the two characters share a "sweet connection." If Rossi were to play wingman for Hotch, it is likely that he would try to set his two closest friends up, who seem to be a good fit for each other too.

Gibson recently spoke to TVLine about the breakup and how David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) will step up for his friends and try to find him a suitable match.

Joe Mantegna Defends Jennifer Love Hewitt Against Criticism

"That's not this week, but yeah, it's coming up. Unfortunately, you know, I was dating the First Lady and she's busy! [Beth's portrayer Bellamy Young stars on ABC's Scandal.] So yeah, it's actually dealt with in a nice way," he said. "Rossi then of course decides that he needs to play matchmaker for me, and we get very few opportunities for lighter moments like that."

Gibson also directed the latest Halloween-themed episode, titled Boxed In, which featured his children.

The episode aired on October 29 and 9 pm ET/PT.
