It's getting down to the wire on ABC's Dancing With the Stars with only six couples left in the competition, so are they due for a surprise elimination?

Michael Waltrip and his pro partner Emma Slater were eliminated from Dancing With the Stars Monday night, which wasn't too much of a surprise considering his consistently low scores. The competition is bound to get more fierce as each of the Final 6 hope to make it even further to get that coveted Mirrorball Trophy.

Atop the overall leaderboard is Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson. The pair has been consistently at or near the top for the entire season and could easily be considered the frontrunner to win. Right behind them are Bethany Mota and Derek Hough and Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy.

Two couples are going to have to improve slightly if they want the chance to reach the finals. Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas and Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev are currently tied for fourth. Only Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd are below them, who have been a hit with the audience despite low scores.

Could either Robertson or Thompson be looking at a surprise elimination next week? Dancing With the Stars history is rich with shocking upsets and eliminations, so it wouldn't be too surprising if Chong managed to outlast them.

Of the two of them, Thompson may not have the rabid Duck Dynasty fanbase that Robertson has. She may have to step it up a bit in order to continue in the competition.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
