While the last entry didn't make that big of a wave in the Marvel universe, a new rumor could mean that Chris Hemsworth's Thor could have a big moment happen to him as Marvel looks to save their heroes.

One 'Avengers 2' Character Might Show Thor The Events Of 'Ragnarok' Early

With the Ragnarok plot being played out, is there a chance that Thor dies during the third Thor movie? With possible appearances by Surtur and Thanos being teased, it could mean the God of Thunder could perish, but not be completely gone.

The reason that Marvel may look to kill Thor is purely business. Hemsworth would be on film no. 5 of his six-picture deal with Marvel after Thor 3 and the studio wants to hold on to him a little longer.

Thor To Face Thanos In Massive Battle To End 'Ragnarok?'

There were rumors of the studio holding Hemsworth and Chris Evans out of the third Avengers movie in order to keep the actors around longer, and this could still happen, but in only one part.

Loki has died and been revived multiple times and so has Nick Fury and Agent Coulson, so why not Thor? There could be a giant moment where he perishes during Thor: Ragnarok but the hero could rise again during the second part of the third Avengers for his finale as the character.

This would allow Marvel to keep Hemsworth locked up, but not worry about his character going away just yet. It also would give Hemsworth some time away from the character and allow him to get space before showing up again in Infinity War: Part 2.
