U.S. track and field standout Lolo Jones is headed into the semifinals of the 2012 London Games 100-Meter Hurdles race on Tuesday. Jones had pulled out a 2nd place finish in round 1 of the heats with a time of 12.68 seconds.

The star indeed has retribution on her mind, as she had lost the lead in the race at the 2008 Beijing Games after clipping a hurdle, which left her with a 7th place finish.

Jones had previously commented on the disappointing outcome in 2008, according to ESPN:

"It was like racing a car at max velocity.  When you hit a curve, you either maintain control or you crash and burn," Jones said after the race in 2008.  "Today, I crashed and burned. I'm shocked and sad. But I'm happy for the girls," she had said.

Former Olympian Gail Devers had experienced the same crushing disappointment and was able to relate to Jones' heartbreak.

"I kind of felt like she was me for a minute there," Devers also said in a 2008 to the sports network.

"It's heartbreaking, because I saw her face afterward. I know the feeling. I know how she felt," Devers had added.

A devout Christian, the 29 year-old has continued to remain positive, but recently admitted it can be challenging, according to the Christian Post.

"It's hard to be positive all the time with people doubting your abilities," she said.

100-Meter Women's Hurdles coverage begins on Tuesday, August 8th at 2:15PM EST for the semifinals & 4PM EST for the finals.
