According to a new report, there's a good chance that the two talented ladies might have an Oscars showdown at next year's Academy Awards.

Radar Online reports on Wednesday that Jolie is a frontrunner for a Best Director nod for her film, Unbroken, while Aniston has been hotly tipped for a Best Actress nomination for her role in the film, Cake.

While it's still uncertain as to who will get nominated for what films, both women are getting plenty of praises from the critics these days in what might be their best work of their careers yet.

Jennifer Aniston Feeling Pressure From Her Family To Get Pregnant?

Just last month, it was reported that Aniston is sparking a lot of buzz in the film industry with her performance in the film.

According to Deadline on Sept. 19, Aniston and the film both received a standing ovation after the film was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival last week. Some critics are even calling it Aniston's best big screen performance to date.

The actress told the website after the screening that she was overwhelmed with the audience's positive response to the film.

She said, "It was such an emotional moment for me. I was nearly brought to tears."

Aniston added that she knew she wanted to be in the film the moment she finished reading the script, despite the fact that it was physically taxing on her body. The actress said that she had to go on multiple trips to the chiropractor and massages to help maintain "her sanity" while filming.

She noted, "I knew I was going to do it because it was a challenge but an opportunity to express empathy for the character and all those undergoing similar experiences."
