Marvel made their first step into the animated movie field with Big Hero 6 this weekend, but could they be sending some of their biggest heroes to one of Pixar's most successful franchises in the upcoming sequel?

ComicBook speculated last week that with Toy Story 4 getting announced there is the possibility of a crossover between Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang with some of the most recent Disney acquisitions with a focus on Marvel.

According to the site, Disney owns both the film and television animation rights for all the Marvel characters including Spider-Man. While it may seem far-fetched to include them in the movie, Pixar has already brought major toys like Barbie to the franchise so why not action figures of some of Marvel's biggest heroes?

The site goes on to say that there wouldn't necessarily have to be a large role for the Marvel characters, but a fun cameo or short scene with them would be a cool moment of integration and would allow for Disney to use Spider-Man for the first time. They added that with Disney also owning Star Wars, some of those characters could also make an appearance as well.

However, Pixar doesn't seem like they would jump at the chance to bring those characters in for the sake of doing it because they can, but if they could work a few cameos in, it would be fun to see Iron Man, Hulk, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader among the many toys lining Bonnie's room when the gang returns.

Toy Story 4 is set for a 2017 release date while the Avengers are returning for Age of Ultron next year.
