The Chasing Life Christmas special is almost here with a new sneak peek of April's holiday that looks pretty depressing.

New Episode Of 'Chasing Life' To Pick Up Right After Leo's Voicemail?

The promo that was released on Saturday shows April in the hospital where a doctor tells her that it's her last day of chemo. She lets out a tiny bit of hope for herself as her mom sits with her for support.

April then walks through the hospital in warm clothes as well as a giant scarf around her head since her hair is probably gone at that point. As difficult and scared as she may be at this time, April's family celebrates Christmas with her at the hospital where they bring her presents and look like they're doing what they can to be there for her.

Is Leo Going To Survive 'Chasing Life?'

When the main character lies down in her hospital bed, she gets a rather strange present- a colorful hat that she doesn't seem too excited about, but tries on anyway.

The caption for the promo says this Christmas- "survive the holidays." Ths is likely a way of being clever since April literally has to survive this, not just with her life, but with her patience since there might still be some awkward family moments.

The Chasing Life holiday episode will air on Tuesday, December 9 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC Family. Season 2 will premiere on Monday, January 19 at 9 p.m. ET.
