Country crooner Brantley Gilbert unexpectedly announced his engagement last month and now he's revealed his fiancée's identity.

Next June, the 29-year-old will wed Amber Cochran, a schoolteacher from his hometown of Jefferson, Ga., whom he's known for a long time.

"Amber is an amazing person and has inspired a lot of my songs from 'More Than Miles' to 'You Don't Know Her Like I Do' for the last 10 years," Gilbert told People. "I'm a blessed man to have her back in my life and can't wait to make her my wife."

Gilbert first opened up about the relationship during the Bobby Bones Show and explained that their love affair started years ago.

"It was one of those things that was on and off for few years - mostly on - and then she was the one that got away for about five years," he told the country radio program in the midst of his "Let It Ride" tour. "And it kind of came back around and I can honestly say I've never been happier. This little one, she's the one, and I'm a pretty stoked dude. I'm pretty excited to say the least."

This is the second engagement for Gilbert, who popped the question to fellow singer Jana Kramer in January 2013. The two split up in August of that year.
