As fans in America anticipate the fifth season of Downton Abbey, some juicy secrets are about to be exposed from new characters as well as from some people that have been around for a while.

Are Anna & Mr. Bates Going To Wind Up In Prison On 'Downton Abbey?'

On Thursday, Masterpiece PBS posted a video with executive producer Gareth Neame who pointed out that a new character named Lady Anstruther will be coming along where she'll have a pretty risque vibe to her.

"We have Anna Chancellor who plays a very interesting character- Lady Anstruther- she sounds a bit like she was a sort of slightly racy, glamorous, older woman," Neame said.

Is 'Downton Abbey' Going To Take On An Entirely Different Style?

The clip shows the woman showing off her sexual energy, which seems to be around younger men. While that story takes place, it turns out that this older woman won't be the only one with some mystery; the Dowager played by Maggie Smith has some secrets that refuse to stay hidden.

"We have this absolutely delicious storyline where Violet first condemns her granddaughter for what she sees as inappropriate behavior for Mary to discover that Violet, herself, had bit of a shady past that has been buried for a very long time," Neame revealed.

The Dowager also gets a new maid who will have a "great dispute" with Spratt. They'll both tell Violet that they have a problem with each other, causing the Dowager to be caught in the middle.
