Downton Abbey season 5 may be developing some new wardrobe changes as the series continues into a new era.

Thomas Will Have Something To Smile About?

Caroline McCall, who worked in costume designing for the series, recently won a BAFTA award for Costume Design, and had an interview with Red Carpet News TV published on Monday where she revealed how things could change next season since she won't be there anymore.

"I'll be watching another costume designer do the next series because I've moved on to other things," McCall said. "But I'll be very excited to see what they've done with it and as it moves forward into the 20's and more into what people think of the 20's in the flapper era, which is sort of mid-20's."

The costume designer also mentioned that this old-fashioned style is doing really well with movies like The Great Gatsby and other television shows, including Boardwalk Empire.

Some new photos of the next season were released on Daily Mail that show the cast members in their new attire, including Violet Crawley (Maggie Smith), Isobel Crawley (Penelope Wilton) and Baxter (Raquel Cassidy).

As for the plot of the following year, most of it is being kept under wraps, although it was recently announced from Hastings Observer that kids would be making an appearance on the show, some as choir children.

"The students play children in the local village school, and two were also choir boys filming with Dame Maggie Smith, reporting that they were thrilled to work with Professor McGonagall from Harry Potter!" director of J & V Management and The Hastings Stage Studio Vanessa Pohlhammer said.

Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere in January 2015 on PBS.
