Oscar Pistorius is currently in prison since he killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp last Valentine's Day and his sister Aimee responded via Twitter to alleged false reports made about her and her other brother Carl when they visited their jailed sibling.

Prosecution Wants To Appeal Oscar Pistorius' Verdict & Sentence

Pistorius' birthday (Nov. 22) recently passed and his siblings, Aimee and Carl, went to visit him while he's in prison.

Various publications including The Sunday Times alleged Pistorius and his siblings were receiving special treatment such as allowing Carl and Aimee to bring Pistorius balloons, a gift bag and a cake purchased outside the prison. They also reportedly received more time with Pistorius than is typically allowed.

Aimee took to Twitter on Sunday to defend herself, her brothers and the prison for not bending rules for them.

In her first tweet addressing the situation she said, "1/5 I am dumbfounded at the false and irresponsible reporting in some newspapers today."

She followed that up by stating her and Carl had a non-contact meeting with Pistorius for only 45 minutes as seen below.

She then adamantly stated by using all capital letters on a specific word that Pistorius "received NOTHING that was not allowed by prison regulations for group B prisoners. No cake or perishables present at all." In her next tweet she shared what he did receive, which can be seen below.

Lastly, she tweeted, "5/5 We are respectful of the rules. The correctional officers have been courteous but stern - as their position requires."

Do you think Pistorius received special treatment when his siblings visited him on his birthday?

News24 reported that the department said the allegations were being viewed in a serious light and would be investigated.
