There is a new report that suggests George Clooney is in a rush to become a father while his new wife Amal want to put their baby plans on hold.

According to Radar Online on Thursday, the couple is reportedly "fighting all the time" about their family plans, with Amal refusing to get pregnant because she wants to focus on her career as an International Human Rights lawyer right now.

A source close to the couple said, "The baby topic has caused a lot of tension between the two. George feels like he's a victim of a bait and switch."

While Amal hasn't ruled out the idea of having children eventually, sources close to the British beauty say she wants to wait at least one year before becoming a mother.

The insider added, "She'd like a year to adjust to her marriage and newfound fame before dealing with a pregnancy."

Meanwhile, there have also been reports that suggest the couple is thinking about adoption as well.

According to Closer Magazine last Monday, rumor has it that George and Amal are thinking about adopting a child.

A source tells the magazine that the couple plan to use the adoption "to highlight the plight of orphans in countries like Syria."

What's more, George himself has been wanting to become a father for quite some time now, as he's been spending a lot of time with his Hollywood friends Matt Damon and Brad Pitt.

The insider added that George "is ready to start a family" and "would love to similarly experience the joy of welcoming a new addition to the family."
