Blake Shelton gave a shout-out to his hometown of Ada, Okla. with his latest album Bringing Back The Sunshine, but don't expect this country singer to know much about Ada itself.

Blake Shelton Reveals Why He's Not Worried About Being Hacked

On Thursday Shelton appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss the story behind the cover for his new album, which came out in September.

The cover design for Bringing Back the Sunshine includes a black and white photo of a water tower with the word Ada printed across it, which proved to be a simple but powerful image.

By now many fans know that Ada is the Neon Light singer's hometown, but what they may not realize is that Shelton doesn't known much more about that water tower than his fans do.

"We never thought about the fact that there may be water in that," noted Shelton. "It's just a landmark. It's the tallest building in Ada…I never gave a crap about that water tower until I left. Now it says Ada on it, it's a big deal."

As for how the town got the name Ada, the singer doesn't know. In fact, he didn't really know much about what there is to do in place in which he was raised.

Even if Shelton didn't know his facts, it didn't matter what Kimmel threw at him. The singer was still pleased to be featured on the show. After all, it was the first time Kimmel had ever invited him on. According to Shelton, he hadn't been "famous" enough to score an interview before then.

Last week proved to be an impressive one for both Shelton and his wife and fellow country artist Miranda Lambert. While Shelton was chatting with Kimmel, Lambert was featured on the cover of the latest issue of Marie Claire.

With hit singles, CMA glory, and Lambert's four Grammy nominations this year, the country couple certainly has a lot to be thankful for.
