Many of the characters on ABC's Once Upon a Time will involve themselves with the Queens of Darkness, which could definitely have consequences.

Once Upon a Time executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz spoke to TVGuide.com recently about Rumple (Robert Carlyle) teaming up with the Queens of Darkness, Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten), Cruella De Vil (Victoria Smurfit) and Ursula (Merrin Dungey) to find The Author.

"That's something that will be addressed pretty quickly," Horowitz said. "It's going to require some guile on all of their parts."

Meanwhile, OUAT fans will learn that Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) have a bit of a past with the Queens.

"Snow and Charming had a very interesting period of time with the Queens of Darkness," Kitsis said. "As we always learn on the show, the past will come back to haunt you, and that is no different for Snow and Charming."

This is in addition to the other interesting connection set to be revealed in the latter half of the season: Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Maleficent. The pair will reportedly have a flashback episode in episode 14 in which their origin stories are revealed. Of course, Regina will have been the Evil Queen at that time.

Once Upon a Time returns for the latter half of season 4 Sunday, March 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
