Chmerkovskiy was previously engaged to fellow DWTS pro Karina Smirnoff, in addition to previously dating another pro, Peta Murgatroyd. He is performing on the SWAY: A Dance Trilogy tour now with Murgatroyd, but it doesn't affect his performance.

"I was engaged to Karina Smirnoff and we just finished the Ballroom With A Twist tour," he told OK! Magazine when asked about working with exes. "Look, people are going to think of me whatever they're going to think of me. I'm a big guy. I'm not a womanizer. I don't sleep around. Whatever I do, I just have a lot of fun. I'm a good person, I'm a good friend, and I'm a good human being."

Chmerkovskiy added that this is how he has been taught to live his life, noting that you don't have to become enemies after you break up with someone.

"They were amazing enough to be in a relationship with them to begin with, right? So, if something didn't work out, it doesn't mean they are no longer amazing people," he said.

The Ukranian-born dancer dealt with his fair share of dating rumors while he was dancing with Meryl Davis during season 18, a season they ended up winning. He added that he "doesn't care" about the persistent rumors that they are dating in private.

SWAY: A Dance Trilogy is taking place every night until Dec. 21 at The Space in Westbury, N.Y.

Dancing With the Stars returns for its 20th season on ABC in March, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
