Tim McGraw and Faith Hill may not be able to get out to their farm as much as they like and so they married country stars have gotten creative in how they find the time to get away.

On Thursday McGraw spoke with 101.7 WGNA (featured below) about his recent Jimmy Kimmel Live bit, in which Kimmel showed up at McGraw's home and pretended to overstay his welcome.

When asked if that is in fact McGraw and Hill's real house, McGraw admitted that it is not in fact their primary residence.

"it's our farm," explained the singer. "We don't live out there, but my mom lives out there actually."

McGraw then revealed that they'd used that same farm to film sequences for NBC's ancestry series Who Do You Think You Are? and the music video for Meanwhile Back At Mama's, which is the latest duet between the singer and his wife.

The duet become a hit with CMA and Grammy nominations and McGraw is thrilled with the attention the album, Sundown Heaven Town, has been receiving.

"The music's coming out and doing well. You know that's what the payoff is," he noted. "You know you put a lot of heart and soul into making a record and when people like that means a lot to me."

With decades in the industry, McGraw had trouble remembering just how many albums he has. "Fourteen or fifteen albums," he guessed. "Something like that."

So what's his favorite? Is there one he thinks is special?

"The last one I did is always my favorite," laughed the singer.

According to the singer, he is already busy thinking about the next.
