Tori Spelling might have a lot of drama going on in her personal life, but there is no denying that she has a heart of gold when it comes to her furry friends at least. The reality television star announced on her Instagram account that she recently rescued a lost dog and is now looking for a new home for the small pup.

In a photo that she posted on Wednesday, Spelling can be seen cuddling the pup, who she found wandering around the streets of Los Angeles. She captioned the photo with, "Doing a little rescue work for the holidays... @lormiller120 & I found this little cutie no collar in traffic near kids school 4 their winter show. Took 30 min. to get her. Now need to find her home..."

Many of her fans commented with, "You've got more soul in one finger than most people have in their hearts," along with, "Donna Martin graduates and then saves lives!!! All lives!"

Spelling hasn't updated her fans as to whether or not she dropped to pup off at a local shelter, although there's a good chance that she will help her find a loving home, given her well-publicized love for pets.

Meanwhile, Spelling has recently opened up as to why she is so honest about her personal life with her fans.

In a new interview with People Magazine on Friday, Spelling says that she likes to be in control of what is said about her and her family and that is why she decided to do her reality television show, True Tori.

She said, "I feel like I've always had a good connection with my fans and everyone out there. I'm very open and honest about my life. My life has been very public, and it's hard to keep things private. I'd rather get the truth out there than have people write what they think the truth is."

She added, "It was my way of making sure that if people are going to make up stories, I'm going to tell them exactly how it is so they don't have their chance to do that."
