Latest Updates About Transformers 5

After Mark Wahlberg confirmed that he will be starring in the Age of Extinction sequel, he also stated that the filming should begin soon. But there has been no word from Nicola Peltz or Jack Reynor, the younger stars in Age of Extinction and whether they would be coming back for the next in the series. Which means there could still be a possibility of bringing back Fox as the female lead.

Another recent report suggested that Jonathan Liebesman the director of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles might be coming on board and taking the reigns from Michael Bay, who has reportedly walked out of the franchise. Earlier last year, rumors of Fox coming back on board had started doing the rounds.

On September 1, MoviePilot reported that while Fox has expressed interest in returning, she might be in a bit of bind because of her commitment to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Recently, Fox who had been very critical of Bay right after the first phase of the Transformers franchise that she had starred in, buried the hatchet and said she would love to work with the director again. It seems like the two are best pals again and he was instrumental in getting her a part in the reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Speaking to E!News in an interview dated August 4, the actress revealed that she would be interested in coming back on board if she was asked.

"If [Bay] ever wanted me to do a cameo like assembling an autobot motorcycle in a bike shop or something like that, I would totally do it," Fox said.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
