After a considerable amount of time on the market Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have sold part of their country estate.

Tim McGraw Enjoys Quiet Christmas With Family

Portions of the country couple's farm has been for sale since 2013 and last week the stars unloaded 131 acres in Leiper's Fork.

On Jan. 2 The Tennessean revealed that a family from Houston, Texas had purchase the land for $3 million. The section was originally part of McGraw and Hill's 750-acre farm.

The buyers, Brian and Carin Terp, intend to build a home on the property.

"Initially, the owners would've liked to sell it as one," explained listing agent Steve Fridrich. "However, the demand seems to be from something smaller than 750 acres."

It seems that after two years the couple has eased up on their selling preferences, willing to move sections of the land one sale at a time until they are able to unload it all.

Married for 18 years, McGraw and Hill purchased the estate about four years into their marriage. Through two separate deals, they paid a total of about $13 million for 750 acres.

McGraw and Hill continue to live in the countryside with their three daughters. The singers enjoy getting away from the business of the industry. They even filmed the music video for the duet, Meanwhile Back At Mama's, at their real-life home in order to spend more time there.

Last month McGraw and Hill kicked back to relax with their daughter for a calm little family Christmas.

McGraw's latest album, Sundown Heaven Town, was released in September.
