Much speculation surrounded Jennie Garth's slimmer frame post-divorce.

However, she asserts that her weight loss is a product of a healthy diet and lots of exercise.

"I'm just taking care of myself: Eating less, exercising more, drinking a lot of coconut water," Garth, 40, told Us Weekly on Aug. 23 at an Old Navy Denim Pop-Up Bar event in L.A.

However, Garth has admitted that her March split from "Twighlight's" Peter Facinelli, her husband of 11 years, has had quite an effect on her body -- but unlike many divorcees, she hasn't been reaching for comfort food.

"I eat a lot of Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt in the morning, salads and proteins the rest of the day and maybe a cupcake if I've been a good girl," explained Garth, who works out with trainer Shannon Stewart. "I don't believe in depriving yourself of things you want."

Garth, a mother of three daughters, has not been wallowing. Post-split she romanced HGTV star Antonio Ballatore and has been casually dating photographer Noah Abrams, who has shot for magazines including "Rolling Stone," "Vanity Fair," "Sports Illustrated" and "GQ.

"She's happier than ever!" a friend of Garth told Us Weekly.

During the Old Navy party, Garth had opportunity to show off her slender figure to her friend and "Beverly Hills, 90210" former co-star Luke Perry, with whom she recently reunited to film an Old Navy commercial.

"It was weird, it was like no time had passed and we were back on the set again," Garth said about the commercial.
Garth and Perry, 45, are in the process of writing a sitcom together.

"We want to work together again because we really love each other and it would be nice to spend time together working," she said.

"It's a good day at work when you're with people you know and that you like," Perry added.
