The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting recently commented on the big wedding between her character Penny and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) that's still ahead for the sitcom.

As fans of The Big Bang Theory know, Penny and Leonard are currently engaged to be married but aren't exactly rushing to get to the wedding. Cuoco-Sweeting spoke to Zap2It while promoting her new movie The Wedding Ringer, discussing what's ahead for the couple (video featured below).

"Penny and Leonard took so long to get engaged that a wedding to me sounds like in a distant planet," the actress quipped. "I don't know what the writers have planned. I know they've said that they've thought about it and they're going to do something very unique and special, which I don't even know about, that'll just be completely different from what anyone expects. But that's kind of Big Bang for you. You never know what you're going to get."

Cuoco-Sweeting is coming off a big win at the People's Choice Awards Wednesday night, winning the award for Favorite Comedic TV Actress over New Girl's Zooey Deschanel, Mike & Molly's Melissa McCarthy, Parks and Recreation's Amy Poehler and Modern Family's Sofia Vergara.

In her speech, the actress said the she's loved playing Penny and is hoping to play her for years to come. She is currently signed on through 10 seasons of The Big Bang Theory.

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
