Netflix's Orange Is the New Black was completely shut out at the Golden Globes Sunday night, including losses for the show, Taylor Schilling and Uzo Aduba.

'Orange Is the New Black' Season 3 Release Date Expected for June or July 2015?

Orange Is the New Black was nominated for Best Comedy Series at the Golden Globes this year but they were beaten by the new Amazon series Transparent at the ceremony on Sunday.

Meanwhile, in the category of Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, Schilling (who plays Piper) was beaten by Gina Rodriguez, star of the new CW series Jane the Virgin. And in the TV Supporting Actress category, Aduba (Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren) was beat out by Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt.

This meant that Orange Is the New Black went home empty-handed on Sunday. While the show and its cast and crew are grateful to be nominated, they surprisingly haven't done well at prominent awards shows thus far into its run. The show broke out in a major way at the Emmys back in August but only Aduba won a major award, in the category of Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.

The SAG Awards are coming up at the end of January and Orange Is the New Black is nominated for Best Comedy Ensemble while Aduba scored a nomination for Best Female Actor in a Comedy Series. It remains to be seen if the show can rebound with a win or two after its Globe losses.

Orange Is the New Black returns for season 3 in mid-2015 on Netflix.
