While George Mendez (Pablo Schreiber), a.k.a. "Pornstache" has been a divisive character on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black, the actor still wants to play him in the future.

Schreiber appeared briefly in the second season of Orange Is the New Black before being handcuffed and arrested for seemingly impregnating Daya (Dascha Polanco). While it may be implausible for him to convincingly return to the show again, Schreiber still wants to play him.

"Obviously for her to give me the gift of that role was immense. I hope that I can continue in that role," he told Zap2it at the Television Critics Association Press Tour this week. "I hope that that role will stay alive."

Unfortunately, Schreiber is filming a new HBO series called The Brink, a show that has him as a series regular.

He said that "there is no balance" in regard to working on The Brink as well as Orange Is the New Black. "I'm a series regular on The Brink and so this is my show. Anything else that happens will be gravy on top of my cake."

Schreiber's character is reportedly clean-shaven in The Brink, a departure from his thick mustache in Orange Is the New Black. He said that this lack of mustache in The Brink was "part of the attraction of the role," in addition to "No killing or rape involved. Just a little bit of mild prescription drug dealing, which as bad guys go isn't so bad."

It remains to be seen if Schreiber will make any cameo appearances on Orange Is the New Black in season 3, but it has been confirmed that Mary Steenburgen has signed on to play Pornstache's mother, so it can be assumed that he will at least be brought up.

Orange Is the New Black returns for season 3 in mid-2015 on Netflix.
