A new report reveals that another Arrow and Flash spinoff might be on the cards.

Suicide Squad To Return In Season 3 Of Arrow 

CW president, Mark Pedowitz, shared this bit of exciting news at the Television Critics Association, according to IGN. Teh publication investigated the possibility of the spinoff focussing on Ray Palmer aka the Atom (Brandon Routh).

"With any character you bring on this show that's a possibility, depending on how the fans react and the character is received and developed," Routh said. "You know they've shown with The Flash that just being a part of Arrow that it can work. It's exciting. The sky's the limit. DC and The CW have done a great job with the two shows and the platforms in terms being their own entities. What the future holds, who knows? But anything is a possibility."

Showrunner Dishes On Felicity's Reaction To Oliver's Death In Upcoming Episode Of Arrow   

It was also recently revealed that the CW has renewed the show for another season. The series was one of eight that the CW has bestowed with early renewals, according to a Deadline report.

Recently a new promo for the mid-season premiere of season 3 was revealed, and it teased the aftermath of Oliver (Stephen Amell) death.

John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn) is seen breaking the news to the team, stating that Oliver's death. Other highlights that flash through the clip are Larel (Katie Cassidy) taking up the mantle of Black Canary. Ray (Brandon Routh) is also seen trying his suit as the Atom in the promo. A villain is seen stating that the darkness will take over the glades.

Here's the official synopsis for Left Behind:

"THE TEAM DEALS WITH OLIVER'S DISAPPEARANCE - In the aftermath of Oliver's (Stephen Amell) fight with Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Arsenal (Colton Haynes) continue to protect the city in the Arrow's absence. However, after three days without hearing from Oliver, they begin to fear the worst may have happened to their friend. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) refuses to believe that Oliver could be dead until Merlyn (John Barrowman) pays the team a surprise visit. Thea (Willa Holland) suspects there is something more behind Oliver's disappearance and asks Merlyn for a favor. Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) tests a part of his new suit and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) takes up the mantle of the Black Canary. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Erik Oleson (#310)."

The episode is set to release on January 21, 2015 at 8 p.m. E.T. on the CW.
