With the weekend finally here, what better way to celebrate a few days off than by watching some of Hollywood's A-listers starring in new films.

Sadly it looks like the cold weather is here to stay for a while for those in New England, but there are lots of new movies debuting on the big screen.

Jan. 30 is a big day for new films, and moviegoers will have a large variety of movies to choose from.

The Loft

Starring: Karl Urban, James Marsden, and Wentworth Miller. Directed by Erik Van Looy

Summary: Five married friends get together to secretly buy a penthouse in the city where they plan to carry about hidden affrairs and keep them hidden from their wives. Things take an unexpected turn for the worst when they find the dead body of an unknown woman in the loft.

The Throwaways

Starring: Peter Brooke, James Caan and Noel Clarke. Directed by Tony Bui

Summary: An infamous hacker, Drew Reynolds, is captured by the CIA for commiting  Notorious hacker Drew Reynolds is captured by the CIA for committing a crime and he is given the choice to either work for the CIA or spend the rest of his life in prison. He agrees to work for the CIA under the condition that he gets to pick his team.

Wild Card

Starring: Jason Statham, Michael Angarano, Dominik García- Lorido, Sophia Vergara and Jason Alexander. Directed by Simon West

Summary: A Las Vegas bodyguard with professional lethal skills and a gambling problem gets into some serious trouble with a group of mobsters after he tries to help his friend who was beaten by a thug. 

Backstreet Boys: Show 'Em What You're Made Of

Starring: Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, and Brian Littrell. Directed by Stephen Kijak.

Summary: Cameras follow the pop sensation group the Backstreet Boys behind-the-scenes as they experienced the highs and lows of their career.

The Devil's Violinist

Starring: David Garrett, Jarred Harris and Joely Richardson. Directed by Bernard Rose

Summary: The film follows the life of 19th Century professional Italian violinist Niccolò Paganini, who rose to fame as a virtuoso.
