It's what you've all been waiting for, Jisbon fans. The Mentalist's Patrick Jane will propose to Lisbon before the season is out.

'The Mentlaist' EP Dishes On Devastating Death, Patrick Jane's Fears As Finale Approaches

In a throwback to Jane's (Simon Baker) pre-premiere life, the faux psychic will pose as a real Mentalist once more in order to tempt a serial killer. While a Red John-esque darkness surrounds the FBI team during "Brown Shag Carpet" and "White Orchids," Jisbon will provide a bright light of hope as they prepare for their wedding...

...as long as the deadly Lazarus doesn't decide to spoil the big day.

It sounds like the murderer won't claim Jane's hard earned happy ending, however, as executive producer Tom Szentgyorgyi told TV Line that the final will be "all you've hoped for."

That doesn't necessarily mean the good 'ship Jisbon will have fair winds and following seas over the next three episodes.

"One of my favorite sayings is, 'The price of love is loss.' Vega's death was meant to bring that out to the point where no one could ignore, and force Jane and Lisbon to deal with it or not. That's what the last batch of episodes is about," Szentgyorgyi told Entertainment Tonight. "How can we go forward? Jane's saying, 'I can't risk losing you and can't get hurt again,' and Lisbon's saying, 'I can't quit my job. This is what I do, this is what I am.' How that's resolved is the principle topic."
