Kanye West was up to his usual antics at the Grammys again, the rapper almost rehashed his infamous Taylor Swift moment by getting up on stage, uninvited, when Beck was receiving his award fro best album of the year on the evening of February 8.

It seems like this time West's movement wasn't ill-intentioned and he was just trying to be funny, light-heartedly recalling the Swift moment. Beck did look a touch fazed at first but quickly start to beckon back on stage. Prince presented the award to Beck for his album Morning Phase, which was very much emerged as the underdog this year, and his win was quite unexpected.

Prince just showing up on any occasion is in itself an event -- remember his appearance at the Golden Globes, where all he did was read out a sentence or two to announce an award winner -- and at the Grammys the iconic pop star hung out for a touch longer and seemed to have put more effort into his attire. The singer-songwriter came on stage to present the award to Beck for best album in a flowy, shimmering orange long top and pants, accesorised by a long beaded necklaces. Add to that his distinctive trademark, a sleek white scepter. As he swanned in, the audience went berserk, applauding just his entrance and standing up. So, in essence a standing ovation for just walking on to stage.

When he came on stage he kept his message short and powerful saying that albums, "like books and black lives still matter."
