It's safe to say Cookie of Fox's Empire (played by Taraji P. Henson) is one of the hottest characters on television. But what might be surprising is Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Joseline Hernandez has taken the credit for Cookie's style.

VH1 caught up with the self-proclaimed Puerto Rican Princess who shared her thoughts on the mega-hit show.

"I love 'Empire' honey. I know Cookie been taking some lessons from me. I mean where you think she got it from? That ain't all her character, that's Joseline Hernandez's character honey. I know it for a fact. Shoutout to Ms. Cookie though."

This isn't the first time Empire has been compared to other shows. Even before its big series debut, rapper 50 Cent called out the show for copying the marketing strategy for his popular shower Power on Starz.

During the Television Critics Association last month, he told reporters, "That show is...the artwork was very similar and they used 'power' in the tagline [for] 'Empire'. They didn't have to do that."

Still, he made it clear that he isn't against the success of Empire or any similar shows.

"I think there's room for more television shows. I don't think it's necessary to have one show at a time. There's room for everybody."

He joked that as long as there's still "room" for Power, he'll be just fine.
