The all-star lineup of Fox's newest hit series Empire might get even better if Denzel Washington has his way!

Grace Gealey Talks Anika's Drama on 'Empire' 'She's Fighting Too!'

The creator of the series, Lee Daniels, spoke with the Philadelphia Enquirer Jan. 21 and said Washington wants to get back on the small screen. And he wouldn't mind Empire being the show in which he makes his return.

"Denzel hasn't done television in 30 years. But he saw the pilot and said, 'I've got to be a part of this,'" Daniels revealed.

He is definitely on board with the Remember The Titans actor making some type of appearance on his show.

He shared a selfie of him and Washington via Instagram Jan. 24 with the caption, "trying to talk this one into doing a guest star on #empire #nextweekdinneronme".

If Washington does make his way on the show, fans will definitely be tuning in. They took to Daniels' post to share their thoughts on Washington's possible appearance.

"That would be the Bomb!!!!"

"Yes that would make it more interesting maybe his brother".

"Thank you Lee Daniels and Baby Jesus...Denzel is going to be on [Empire]."

"I would LOVE to seE Denzel on Empire!!! That would put the icing on the cookie..... I mean cake :)"

"Please do! Denzellll".

Another fan suggested Washington could play Cookie's love interest.

Snoop Dogg and Naomi Campbell are also a part of the series while Kanye West and Oprah Winfrey are said to be on the cast member's wish list to make an appearance.

Empire airs Wednesdays on Fox at 9/8c.
