The family and friends of Brooklyn Nets star Kris Humphries now have reason to believe that he is once again in a relationship with former flame Myla Sinanaj, and has not been honest about it.

Those close to the basketball player were apparently blindsided when a video of the seemingly rekindled pair had surfaced on TMZ. Humphries previously stated to friends that he was completely finished with Sinanaj and that she was no more then a one night stand.

In the past, the 27-year-old even hired the FBI to investigate her. He stated to federal agents that Sinanaj was looking to extort him for a large amount of money, or she’d disclose controversial information from their prior relationship.

Sources of the gossip site close to him say that they had a feeling the basketballer would be back with Sinanaj and the latest footage confirmed it. Although she had denied the extortion claim, her lawyer had reportedly composed a 26-page defamation lawsuit against Humphries. The two have clearly has made up since.

Humphries had previously tied the knot with reality star Kim Kardashian on Aug. 20, 2011 and it was announced just 72 days later that she filed for a divorce. On Dec. 1, 2011, he requested an annulment on the grounds of fraud or a decree of legal separation instead of the divorce itself.

Several media outlets had speculated that Humphries’ short-lived marriage to Kim was nothing more than a publicity stunt for the Kardashian family to capitalize on their family brand.

Interestingly enough, Jonathon Jaxson, Kim’s former publicist, had also made a similar claim to the NY Daily News on Nov. 12th.

“It was obvious that it was staged. There were contracts already in place for E! to film it. The whole show itself was staged to a T. Everything was written down,” he explained.
