'Real Housewives of New York City' Star Kelly Bensimon Talks Bethenny Frankel & 'Scary Island' Trip

Although Bensimon and Frankel were never on good terms during their time on The Real Housewives of New York City, the former model had nothing but good things to say about Frankel as a businesswoman. That said, Bensimon has no interest in trying her upcoming marijuana products.

“I’m not a pot smoker,” Bensimon told the NY Post during the Dennis Basso show on Monday at Lincoln Center. “I’ve got two kids and trying to raise them on my own, so I try to be a good role model. So illegal drugs are not really on my radar, but for anyone else who enjoys them, hats off to you.”

Bensimon appeared on The Real Housewives of New York City from season two until season five, when she was fired, along with Jill Zarin, Alex McCord and Cindy Barshop. Frankel, on the other hand, left the series after season three, and went on to star in her own spinoff series.

While Bensimon has no plans to try Frankel's new items, she did applaud her former co-star for her creativity.

“Oh, my God, that’s such a huge business now,” she said. “She’s very clever, she’s a good businesswoman, and she’s super savvy.”

Frankel will be seen in the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of New York City.
